ABOUT PROGRAM

Since 2011, Lomonosov MSU enrolls to “Pragmatics and Management of Culture” programme.

 

Today, in the context of renovation going on in the field of culture, highly qualified managers apt of efficient governance are especially in high demand.

 

Pursuant to global standards, Lomonosov MSU has developed an innovative training model that combines fundamental cultural studies with developing the key leadership competences in the field of culture.

 

We foster academic excellence of our graduates that boast inside-out thinking and bright leadership skills, are capable of efficient management decision-making and creative approach to work.

 

The programme goal is to shape practical skills of project management, use of marketing / PR technologies, management skills in the context of today’s world tendencies, international partner project skills and a lot more.

URBAN STUDIES

Modern Urban Studies is a new programme course that considers creative industry and creative project impact on shaping the urban environment, city images and people’s way of life. Our students take part in expeditions of the Applied Urban Studies Center of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences and contribute to building urban creative spaces both in Moscow and other Russian regions.

The programme includes practical training in the leading Russian cultural institutions; we also assist ourgraduates in their employment.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING

With on-the-job training included in the programme, students acquire management skills in the field of culture. We cooperate with Moscow Department of Culture, and, in particular, with the Moscow Multi-Functional Center for Young Adults. Work in the MMFC Young Moscovite School is a great practical path to understanding key urban needs. A unique opportunity to offer your own projects under the supervision of experienced administrators can be used as a steppingstone to be enrolled in the candidates pool of Moscow Government and to start civil service for the Russian Federation.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN MUSEUM

Practical study in museum includes studying fundamentals of the museum business and mastering skills of museum and gallery management.
